Due to the recent devastation caused by the wildfires in Maui on August 8, 2023, which have caused thousands of families to become desolate and homeless, the Maui Puerto Rican Association (MPRA) has been approached by numerous nonprofits around the country that have financial donations. These donations will be passed along to the wildfire victims as a pass-through to the MPRA. It will be the Maui Puerto Rican Association's job to dispense these monetary donations into the hands of the wildfire victims. MPRA will continue to send our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families.
